Anti poverty flash mob – West

A lot of planning and preparation took place for the sexual health priority and thus not a lot of time was left to do the other priority that young people thought needed to be tackled, homelessness and poverty.

We planned to cooperate with various homeless charities and organisations such as soup kitchens and volunteer with them, however when we spoke to them we realised that a lot of the members within the constituency were too young to do so.  As a result of this, we supported a poverty flash mob (A group of people who converge on a spot with little forewarning, perform some action (usually a protest), and disperse quickly that one of our members was doing in Centenary Square with ITV Fixers, to raise awareness of youth poverty in this country and abroad, which ended up being an awesome event, which many took part in, and the message put across and was also aired on Calendar.
